Further, Green is the head of Julie Green Ministries and is a classic snake-oil, bible-thumping grifter. She posted her harangues on Rumble, asking for donations. Her prophecies are pro-tЯц☠p fantasies in which God has “chosen” tЯц☠p to be his “Moses” to “deliver the people out of the hands of these nowaday pharaohs.” In this telling, the “majority” of states will decertify their 2020 election results, tЯц☠p will “take back his rightful place of power,” and God will send His “Angel of Death” to take the lives of people who stole the 2020 election, and are “infected” with “wokeism”. She justifies the deaths of elected officials by verious conspiracy theories. For instance, she claimed Rep. Ilhan Omar is “a spy sent from your land to get everything you could to give it back to the nation that you serve”, that Sen. Mitt Romney’s“fingerprints will be found all over the fraud of the 2020 election”; and that Govs. Gretchen Whitmer and Brian Kemp were also involved in stealing the 2020 election.
Her prophecies are worshipful of Mastriano. She prophesied: “Doug Mastriano, ‘I have you here for such a time as this’, saith the Lord. I know it seemed like I had forsaken you, all your hard work, and all the time you put forth to get to the truth in election integrity. I will not forsake you. The time has come for their great fall and for the Great Steal to be overturned!"
The Bible is fascinating. I’m not religious, and certainly not either Jewish or Christian, but I read the Bible a lot, and I have ever since I was young. My parents (also not religious) encouraged me to read it. I have made my living teaching about ancient Greece and Rome, and I often teach parts of the Bible in my courses on myth or ancient religion. But I don’t recommend cherry-picking selected verses to support a particular interpretation. I do recommend reading it in its historical context. Most of my students would say that they are (vaguely) Christian, but very few have read much of the Bible. They are often surprised to find how little of the Bible is concerned with spirituality or theology or even morality.
While I did not agree with a lot of things he did, one thing Theodore Roosevelt said stands true! “Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the president or any other public official, save exactly to the degree in which he himself stands by the country. It is patriotic to support him insofar as he efficiently serves the country. It is unpatriotic not to oppose him to the exact extent that by inefficiency or otherwise he fails in his duty to stand by the country. In either event, it is unpatriotic not to tell the truth, whether about the president or anyone else.”
“Rice Christian” was a term used for people in pre-Mao China who only professed Christianity to receive gifts of rice etc. from the old time missionaries. → It also works well to describe certain unscrupulous politicians.
