It’s not fair to Georgia to shoulder the weight of the world, but let’s hope they rise to the moment. We just can’t do another 4 years of divisive, obstructive Moscow Mitch.
That “We The People” are powerless against the strong will of an individual like McConnell, … points out a correctable deficiency in our government infrastructure. Yet, the political parties and “We The People”, are at odds on ending the dysfunction. Asking the parties to disempower themselves, — and become once again public servants — is a journey too far for most of them. With a supreme court hand-picked by the parties, there is little hope for “We The People” to have any leverage against an errant Congress. By submitting to the will of the parties — instead of the other way around — we have painted ourselves into a corner.
I’m not sure if it’s personal power or just party over country. He sure hasn’t shown in sign of caring what happens to the American people in decades. One reason he might keep getting elected in Kentucky is that there are reports that more Republican votes were registered in some counties than there are adults of voting age.
There are people that say McConnell is an example of why there should be term limits. The people of KY re-elected him so if it wasn’t him, who would they have chosen? Remember that the junior senator got infected with Covid and then went swimming in the taxpayer-funded senate swimming pool. And KY will probably re-elect Rand next time.
I do agree with limits on holding offices within Congress. Mitch has held the top Repub Senate spot for far too long.

Maybe, just maybe, Mitch knows the voters better than the voters know Mitch.

One doesn’t get to the top of the political scene without selling out most values, morals, and ethics.

Yep. But he’ll still be there because Kentucky. Many of its residents are, well, fried.

A little compassion, please. Can you imagine what a miserable life it must be to see that in the mirror every time you looked?

If Mitch is trying to “save face” he needs a second opinion for sure.
