I’m usually asleep at five AM so I actually like that.

Could scientists record the sounds from the sun and make it loud enough for us to hear?

What if you sleep less than six hours every night but have a daytime or evening nap that lasts at least an hour?

And not only that but one time. I’m telling you that one time. Just saying that one time.

May the Lord be with you as He is with me.

My brain’s been waking up an hour earlier since daylight savings time started up again this year. It’s so annoying.

5AM is when all the middle aged men in the study had to get up to use the toilet.

An old man in Mississippi is sitting on his front porch watching the sun rise.

He sees the neighbor’s kid walk by carrying something big under his arm.

    “Hey boy, whatcha got there?”

“Roll of chicken wire.” the boy answered

“What you gonna do with that?”

    “Gonna catch some chickens.”

“You damm fool! You can’t catch chickens with chicken wire!”

The boy just laughs and keeps walking. That evening at sunset, the boy comes walking by, dragging behind him the chicken wire with about 10 chickens caught in it.

The next morning, the old man is out watching the sun rise and he sees the boy walk by carrying something in his hand.

    “Hey boy, whatcha got there?”

    “Roll of duct tape.”

    “What gonna do with that?”

    “Gonna catch me some ducks.”

“You damm fool! You can’t catch ducks with duct tape!”

The boy just laughs and keeps walking. That night around sunset the boy walks by, trailing behind him the unfurled roll of duct tape with about a dozen ducks caught in it.

The next morning, the old man sees the boy walking by carrying what looks like a long reed with something fuzzy on the end.

    ’’Hey boy, whatcha got there?"

    “It’s a pussy-willow.”

“Wait up…I’ll get my hat an come with ya.”

One of the most common surprises to people who have been deaf their whole life that gain the ability to hear is that they thought that the sun made noise.

Yes, we short sleepers sleep less than 6 hours a night, but some of us also sleep 1-2 hours after lunch.

If you are close enough to hear the Sun, you still won’t hear it over your last, momentary scream.

I only recognize one 5:00 in a day, & that’s not the one. (For me, anything before about 9 is asking for trouble.) OTOH, my ex bounds out of bed & goes for a 3-5 mile walk at that ungodly zero-dark-hundred hour every morning. He used to tease me mercilessly for not being a morning person…it’s one of the reasons he’s my ex!

I heard about a lady—a nurse—who slept one hour a night. She was studied by specialists who determined that she was not sleep-deprived. She simply only needed that much rest, an oddity. She thought other people slept more than her out of laziness.

Prior to industrialization and the 8 hour day it was unusual for most people to sleep for 8 straight hours.
