I saw someone reading a paperback on a bus about 3 weeks ago.

In a town that I visit sometimes, I can hang out in the Barnes and Noble coffee shop for a couple of hours after buying just a coffee and a cookie, catching up on things on my laptop, perhaps talking with friends. Lots of people seem to do it, and the management doesn’t seem to mind. Although I suppose if there were a lot of people waiting for tables, they might say something.

Since the cost of an average paperback is now more than the hourly minimum wage, the only books I can afford are at library used book sales on dollar-a-bag day. The selection isn’t great, but I have eclectic tastes, and can buy enough to hold me until the next sale.

And please take your tent pegs when you decamp.You might do something about the holes in the flooring, too.

The cafe guy is discriminating against rats. This is wrong.

When Mr. Coffy’s car rear-ended that of Ms. Potz, the woman was told she had grounds for a lawsuit!

In the town where I used to work, there was (and still is) a wonderful coffee shop-cum-bookstore that encouraged browsing and gaming (chess, checkers, etc., were provided). People could, and some would, hang out there all day and evening. But I’m pretty sure overnight camping was not allowed….
