You tie up a boat or ship with a hitch not a knot. Good dog Louie!

    Good Morning Crew!

Morning Crew, Boy, its a good thing Louie went after that final kibble yesterday. It looks like he’s going to use every last one up. Talk about alternative energy sources! Have a great day everyone!

I was thinking the same thing, jelindley – Louie does need a little incentive to get there faster. Good one, Doc! :-)

    Good morning, Crew!

ahoy Crew & happy birthday to kirbey @WoodEye i always thought a “hitch” was a type of knot, and that was why “getting hitched” and “tying the knot” were both synonyms for wedlock. am i in error?

yyyguy - A hitch is a way of securing line so that when strained it does not over tighten and prevent untying. Some of the lesser hitches require pressure on the “standing” or pulling side to maintain their integrity. A knot on the other hand can become very tight when strained and can require a marlinspike to untie it.

    As clear as mud…..
