It’s about time for the tortoise to show up and bite through the cage and rescue the lot of them. I don’t know how he gets here from Iceland, but he will, I’m sure.
She may have been surprised because she might not have been stealing. In all my years in retail I found out one thing – the thief is not the one with the short drawer, but the one with the drawer with the overage. If someone’s drawer is $20 over, it usually means that they didn’t ring up a sale, just got the money from the customer and then didn’t get a chance to get the money out for themselves before the end of the shift. They can pack the drawer, but if people are around, they just don’t have the opportunity to pocket the money!
I used to be that way. I would spend forever hunting a nickel. I couldn’t stand that my check book didn’t balance. I was that way all my life………UNTIL…….19 years ago I retired and said, “To heck with it”. I haven’t balanced my checkbook in 19 years! That’s the bank’s job!
They just don’t realize it, but they are Indian leaves. Anyone remember the Seinfeld episode with the drugstore Indian? The tan one is a ‘dot’ Indian and the red one is a ‘WooWoo’ Indian! Not intended to disparage anyone, just what I thought of when I read it.
No, Doug, it would be billions and billions to TWO!!!
