   My first house was split level and the furnace was in the lower garage level with floor vents in the main level, but my current house, despite having a crawl space has ceiling vents. And you’re right that the heat all stays up near the ceiling and my legs freeze all fall and winter long. I’d turn up the heat but my wife likes it 5 degrees colder than I do.

   The difference is that a gif is actually a sequence of images that play one after the other – those “icons” that appear animated. The cartoon only works if you understand that motion is necessary for a gif.

   Trying to keep the biota the same everywhere while the climate is changing everywhere is an exercise in futility, like trying to shovel against the tide. By the thinking of the objectors here, all mammals are invasive species and there should be nothing but dinosaurs allowed to live. Invasive species survive because they are better adapted than the existing species there. It’s happened since time immemorial.
