I think the treatment they usually used for Lucy’s condition was electroshock aka electroconvulsive therapy. It’s still sometimes used today. And it’s exactly like it sounds. They strap you down & use electrodes to shock your brain. Some ppl have lost their memories due to this treatment, which may have contributed to her dementia.
