Among the Supreme Court’s abominations — shredding precedent to obliterate reproductive freedom, financial impropriety, partisanship — none compares to the upside-down flag, identified with violent insurrectionists, that flew over the home of Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr.

Ethics experts and lawyers (including former judges) of all stripes expressed their outrage.

His statement — which says his wife displayed a symbol associated with a failed coup to subvert democracy because she was offended by an anti-Trump sign one of her neighbors displayed — is so incoherent it is insulting to our collective intelligence.

And a Justice who resides in a house that displays symbols glorifying a coup should not participate in cases that will determine whether people who participated in said coup will face any accountability. — Constitutional law professor Leah Litman

The reason for that congressional committee being scheduled & convened so late was because some of the critters attended The Boss’s trial in NYC that day.

Some apparently hoped to be invited, and weren’t. Sorry Marj.

According to Mr. Trump and his cult:

Putin is a fine fellow, a strong white no nonsense christian who is basically misunderstood.

China is altogether evil and in league with the democrats, seeking to destroy America.

North Korea’s lunatic nuclear armed (by Russia & China) dictator is no problem – as long as Mr. Trump is president.

Iran is altogether evil and in league with the democrats, seeking to destroy America.

The ‘Arabs’ are altogether evil and in league with the democrats, seeking to destroy America.

    • China & Russia are best friends

    • Russia openly threatens nuclear war against America

    • North Korea will have two ICBMs that can reach any U.S. city by the year 2030

    • Arab oil states are Mr. Trump’s best friends, many billions of times over

    • Iran is armed & financed by Russia and China

Daughter earned acceptance into our state’s best private university, along with a 25% scholarship grant. They have a sterling reputation and proudly tout a 90% + career placement rate.

Four years at the top her class, Dean’s list, career counseling, yada-yada-yada, then graduation.

No placement help, no discernible network of contacts, no further use for ya.

Except for the constant flow of propaganda they sent, and are still sending, urging us to ‘give back so that the tradition can continue.’

    - Sure, he qualifies as ridiculous with those assumptions. That we wasting time discussing a ridiculous person is kinda weird too.

And for the poor amongst us (not quite a majority – yet) there is no choice at all, babies & shift work & housework & partner work. A chance would be a fine thing to have someday.

    - Well, there’s always civil disobedience and the Vote to counter these problems.

To err is human, and humans (so far) make the rules. A truly objective opinion probably does not exist. An AI ‘system’ could fix that part, but who wants to be ruled by machines?

With all of our collective faults, I’m sticking with America.

Kings & queens & dictators are primitive in the extreme, and civil rights protections are nonexistent for a majority of the world’s citizens.

Most of the world is very primitive, indeed.

With a little luck, the rest of the state will at least see her for what she really is. And it ain’t pretty at all.
