I do not believe that cost-saving for the CONSUMER was ever part of the move to self-checkout. It’s my opinion that it was developed purely as a cost saver for the company.

I last went camping in 1999 in Utah. During the night, we could see moose shadows on our tent as the walked amongst us campers. It must have been a full moon, or close too it. In the morning the were still standing around. Got almost close enough to pet one, but decided not to.

SPOILER ALERT Wife and I watched series finale of Young Sheldon yesterday. Of course we new what was going to happen. Been just over 9 years since my dad died. I was very glad i was able to be there when he passed. Also that I was able to take my kids to visit a few months before. I new it would be the last. For my wife, it’s been 30 years since her dad died of a heart attack. Fortunately it had been a relatively good day for them, and not a day they were angry at each other. She said her mom found him in the backyard. I hope somehow my wife and I die at the same time. I can’t imagine being without her, or leaving her behind. No, murder/suicide isn’t on the table.

Fortunately I slept through mine. Wish they would have let me sleep a couple more hours. Now they want me back in 3 months because the gallon of prep I had the day before didn’t do it’s job sufficiently. Great. Now they say 2 days of prep. Ugh.

How do you know how many deer are avoided due to whistles? They might not be 100% effective, but surely they must help. Similarly, I’ve been telling my wife that I keep the vampires away. She scoffed. I asked her if she had ever seen one. When she said no, I said “your welcome”.
