When I was a teenager, I hitchhiked, and I was obviously the one at greater risk, getting into a car with any stranger. I used to say, “If I wanted to rob somebody, there are much easier ways to do it than walking backwards on the road in the cold for a half hour with my thumb in the air.”
I WISH I was making it up. You can google this insanity"
“The Brown M&M has, quote, ‘transitioned from high stilettos to lower block heels.’ Also less sexy – that’s progress. Woke M&M’s have returned. The Green M&M got her boots back, but apparently is now a lesbian maybe? M&M’s will not be satisfied until every last cartoon character is deeply unappealing and totally androgynous, until the moment you wouldn’t want to have a drink with any one of them. That’s the goal. When you’re totally turned off, we’ve achieved equity.” – Tucker Carlson
The “unwoke” (i.e., sleeping and unaware) crowd gets offended when a store clerk says Happy Holidays. They get offended because an M&M are less sexy than it used to be. They get offended because a kid’s toy brand is called “Potato Head.” They get offended because black people are in commercials now. They are more thin-skinned and easily offended than anyone I’ve ever seen in my life.
I’m pretty sure that when a school bus breaks down, they call the depot which just sends another school bus. As opposed to one of the coaches monkeying with the engine himself.
The problem isn’t that some terms aren’t allowed, it’s that machines without brains are making the decisions, and don’t know the difference between vulgar and clean.
The irony being that President Carter wound up being blamed for the inflation that started with Nixon and Ford? And the recent spate of inflation started with Trump?
I also don’t know what other people are experiencing, but for me, prices are pretty much back to where they were, at least my grocery bill is.
And if inflation is that bad, maybe stop paying for everything with a card that adds 4% to the price. I don’’t think I have ever heard anybody suggest that as a contributing factor, and it’s so obvious. But I guess inflation that’s imposed by private banks for no good reason is fine, because private banks are Holy Capitalists.
Interesting.
